Easy ways to take care of your health and wellbeing

Most people know what they need to do to take care of their physical bodies - eating well, regular exercise and even down to hygiene like taking a shower and brushing your teeth! But most people have never learned how to care for their energetic bodies or systems. Your thoughts and emotions will affect your emotional and your mental health. And if not looked after, will also affect your physical health. Here are some simple ways to address your 'energy' and with regular practice, will leave you feeling fantastic!

Deep Abdominal Breathing

One of the easiest ways to have more energy and feel great is to breathe better. If you are like most people where you have no time, are busy juggling many priorities or feel stressed and overwhelmed with life, then this is definitely for you. It takes no additional time out of your day and can be learned very easily to become your new normal way of breathing. 

I like to do Pranic Breathing or Deep Abdominal Breathing - I also include an extra tip by connecting your tongue to your palate, which you can learn how to do by watching the video below.


Meditation on Twin Hearts

If you've watched my video above to demonstrate Deep Abdominal Breathing, you will also notice that I go through the hand motions/positions for the Meditation on Twin Hearts. This is an extremely relaxing, cleansing and very powerful meditation that will not only help to flush out the negative thoughts and emotions that you accumulate on a daily basis, but it will also help to transmute or transform your negative thoughts into positive ones. If you do this meditation regularly for just a couple of weeks, it has been known to really transform your mood and your outlook in life. If you've heard my own personal story, this is exactly what happened to me. Salt Baths

Have you ever swam in the sea - nature's biggest salt bath? If you have, you may notice that it's truly refreshing, re-energising and invigorating!

Taking a salt bath regularly will also do the same. Not only will you feel relaxed, but energetically this will help to cleanse away your negative thoughts and emotions (or energies). For those of you who are sensitive, just spending a day in a busy city may leave you feeling drained. This is because you have picked up the dirty energies within the city and also from other people. So it's very important to cleanse yourself etherically, and not just your phsyical body.

To take a cleansing salt bath, you will need to put ONE KILO of salt into a bath of warm water. You can use any natural salt, even cheap table salt. Just nothing where additives have been used such as epsom salts. You can also place about 10-15 drops of lavender oil, teatree oil or sandalwood in the bath. Then soak for about 20 minutes, even submerging your entire head into the bath (you also have energy centres at the top of your head).  At the end of your bath, rinse off with clean water in the shower and you'll feel clean and re-energised.

Repeat at least once per week, or more when possible. You can also do salt showers when a bath is not possible, but rubbing salt on your body (particularly where your energy centres are located), and leaving on for a few minutes before rinsing off.

The Healing Sound of Om (Aum)

Did you know that the Om (Aum) is known as the sound of creation and is a very powerful and healing vibration? This is the very sound that has a vibrational frequency of 432 Hz and exists throughout everything in nature.

You can play the Om to cleanse a space, an object or even yourself. Just play the sound from your phone and let the vibration do its job - this can be played aloud or even just at a low volume if it's not appropriate to play it in a public place or with other people around you.

Some places or times where you may try this are:

  • in your room while you sleep
  • a room in your home where there's a lot of stress energies (typically where arguments happen the most)
  • at a low volume at your workplace
  • when you are feeling stressed or anxious

Tithing & Karma

Tithing is one way to accelerate your healing or help reduce the negative conditions of your body. By giving generously to a charity or a cause that is directly related to your ailment, you will be generating good karma to help with improving your condition. Not everyone can afford to give, but do what you can with what you can. As the saying goes, "It is in giving that you will receive".

This is also the reason why it's important to be mindful of energy exchanges with whatever you do. Everything needs to be balanced and you cannot give, give and give without the risk of becoming deleted or exhausted. It's critical that you receive just as much as you give, and vice versa. Healings are no exception. When you pay for healings, this accelerates your ability to be healed. Money is concretised energy and this is the exchange that is occurring which should be balanced as much as possible.


Other tips

Other tips that you probably already know are extremely important for your physical, emotional and mental well-being. These can include:

  • regular exercise
  • yoga
  • walking in nature
  • drinking plenty of water
  • limiting alcohol intake
  • limiting caffeine
  • volunteering to help those in need
  • keeping good company 
  • doing things you enjoy!
